Rumors of Rock Band’s disappearance from Ground Kontrol were greatly exaggerated! Back from a month-long Sabbatical at neighboring Backspace, Rock Band Tuesdays at Ground Kontrol (or “RB@GK” for short) returns this Tuesday with two big new features: a computerized rotation system, and instant purchasing of any song in the Rock Band Network Store.
About the rotation: after months of working hard to give everyone an equal chance to rock, it finally seemed to come together last week thanks to T. Wrecks’s custom rotation program that speeds up requests and balances everyone’s stage time. Just glance at the monitor to see when your request is coming up, and to find songs you can jump into for free as a session player. We’re constantly improving the rotation system, so please give us feedback so we can make RB@GK the most fun for everyone!
As if that weren’t enough, the Rock Band Network Store opened its doors last month with over 100 new songs produced by independent artists and labels of all kinds. You can add any RBN Store song to the RB@GK song book for only $2! New songs appear in the store daily; every Tuesday, we’ll be sure to make them available for you to buy and play at the show.
