Ground Kontrol is now home to a photo booth! No reproduction, this vintage machine produces a series of four black-and-white photographs in a strip, just like the ones fair- and arcade-goers have enjoyed throughout the decades.

Strips cost $3 and are ready to view after a 3-1/2 minute development process (see, we told you it was authentic!)

5th Ave. Open

5th Avenue Reopens

If you've visited Ground Kontrol by car in recent weeks, you know that access has been limited while Tri-Met closed 5th and 6th Avenues to install light rail lines.

We're pleased to announce that, as of Memorial Day weekend, 5th Avenue has reopened to traffic! Sidewalk onstruction to add on-street parking continues, however. When it's finished and the new parking places are available, we'll let you know right away.

Also, 6th Avenue remains closed while Tri-Met installs the second rail line. If you're approaching from the west, take nearby Burnside or Everett streets to reach your favorite games even faster!

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Pinball Drops Anchor

Today we received a brand-spanking-new Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead ManÕs Chest pinball machine.

We have enabled the gameÕs Tournament mode and will pay real cash prizes to the three highest-scoring players each month. To compete, insert an additional 50 cents and press the ÒTournament StartÓ button.

Knock down the sails and sink the ship to fight the Kraken and Davy Jones.

Capture up to 4 balls on the spinning Port Royal/Tortuga disk.

Open the Dead ManÕs Chest and play ÔHeartÕ multiball.
