Show your silver ball skills and flipper finesse in a special pinball tournament sponsored by Deschutes Brewery for PDX Beer Week! You’ll compete head-to-head on Portland’s best-maintained lineup of pinball machines for a grand prize package worth over $100 with gift cards and swag from Deschutes Brewery and Ground Kontrol Classic Arcade!The tournament will be run in a Knockout-style format. Up to 25 players can enter, and the last player standing wins!
Players, spectators and beer fans alike will want to stop by the bar to try our lineup of Deschutes brews, including the bold Armory XPA, which was created right down the street at the Deschutes Brewery Portland Public House!
Our full lineup of Deschutes Brewery selections during this event:
- Mirror Pond Pale Ale: Mirror Pond Pale Ale is the quintessential northwest pale ale. Cascade hops and more Cascade hops give this tawny colored ale delicious hop-forward aroma and flavor. Pale malt allows the hops to linger, not overpower.
- Black Butte Porter: This is the beer that started it all. A rich, creamy mouthfeel complements a layered depth, revealing distinctive chocolate and coffee notes. Full of flavor, yet easy to drink.
- Hop Slice Session IPA: A trio of hops come together in this crisp session IPA. Brewed with Meyer lemon, Hop Slice balances floral hop notes and a subtle citrus kick.
- Armory XPA: This experimental pale ale was the first beer brewed at the Deschutes Brewery Portland Pub. This XPA gets its bitter twist from Nugget and Northern Brewer hops, then delivers a pronounced citrus kick from Cascade, Centennial and Citra hops. Consider this your next hop obsession.
It’s totally free to enter, but you better get down here by 7pm as sign-up slots are limited, and the beer won’t last forever! To enter, simply buy a pint of any Deschutes beer and you’ll get a raffle ticket. Turn your first ticket in to tournament organizer Jeff Hart if you’d like to play. Don’t want to play, or have extra raffle tickets? Turn them in to Kevin from Deschutes in our lounge and you could win raffle prizes throughout the night!
