DJ Dad Rock is a direct-flight time machine to 1981 in the Midwest, when boomboxes were big, hair was bigger, arcades were thrilling, and the sounds of hard rock and power pop mingled in the cig-drenched air.

After 10 years of holding down the decks at Star Theater, Lovecraft, Crush, Analog, the Conquistador, and many other Portland venues, DJ Aurora makes her debut at Ground Kontrol tonight with a program of synth/upbeat sounds from 70s, 80s, 90s, and beyond!
