Giga-Fright: Halloween FREE PLAY Party

Giga-Fright is back to *do the monster mask* for the 10th anniversary of Portland’s favorite button-mash costume bash, our yearly Halloween party! Join us for a frightfully fun frenzy of Free Play on 100+ games in the arcade, high score contests on classic video games and pinball machines, a spectacularly spooky set by DJ “Boo Years Steve”, and our main event – the most masterfully masked costume contest to ever grace Ground Kontrol’s iconic staircase! Masks will be required to be properly worn at all times, and costumes that creatively implement masks will be encouraged and rewarded in the contest, with a grand prize of $100+ cash and bonus prizes from our sponsors Liquid Death, Final Form, and Kickstand Comedy.

Doors open at noon to allow all ages access to Free Play until 5pm, and then the 21+ only party kicks off at 5pm with happy hour until 7pm, high score contests running from 5-9pm, and judging for the costume contest beginning at 9pm!

Note about costumes: Please keep in mind that you’ll need to remove masks to be ID’d at the door and served at the bar. If you’re planning on wearing face paint, please make sure that you remain recognizable to our staff.
